St. Petersburg, Russia

I have decided that I'm going to start blogging now about St. Petersburg, Russia. That way everybody can keep update with what is going on with it.

As some of you may know I started looking into a semester abroad program called International Language Program (from here on out to be known as ILP) last year around Thanksgiving. I prayed about it and thought at great length what I would do. After all the praying and thinking I decided to go ahead and apply for ILP. I had my interview on December 23, 2009. I found out that I had gotten accepted on December 30, 2009.

I found out on Monday of this week so January 25, 2010 that I will be going to St. Petersburg, Russia this fall. It all seems so crazy, but it's going to be so much fun.

For those of you who don't know what ILP is it is a program that sends volunteers over to foreign countries to teach English to children. It is completely a nonprofit organization so the money that I have to put into it is all tax deductible. That's not even the best part though. The best part is that I can go for a second time for FREE as a head teacher.

How amazing is this opportunity?
